It's been a hot minute since I cataloged an adventure. My bad. Life has gotten busy. Buy here I am, sharing a hike from the beginning of June. There are a ton of great hikes in Beacon Rock State Park, but Hamilton Mountain was the scene for this particular excursion.
There is a super adorable memory tree, a waterfall with a cave, and spectacular views.
The trek was challenging. You can continue along the top ridge and keep going up if you want a longer hike. We did 7.5 miles, but could see others following a longer trail that upon rough estimate seemed about 11 miles-ish. One of my fav things about hiking in the Gorge, especially this far over on the WA side, is that you have to drive through Hood River and past amazing breweries and restaurants on the way home.
